REGISTRATION / Sign on links

If you have not signed on with the club and Hockey QLD, links are below and this must be done 24hours prior to your first game being played. BWHA are going electronic this year and if you are not registered you cannot take the field.

team communication via the Spond App

• Your team Manager will be your key contact during the season and the majority of communications regarding training and games will from Spond. 
• Once your child registers with the club and Hockey QLD, you'll receive a text message from the Manager to join your child's Spond team.
• Please download the Spond app: https://www.spond.com/
• This is a form of communication we use as a club, as well as for marking game days and training days.
• Managers will post all upcoming events, including training and game times.
• Please make sure you indicate if you are able to attend training and the game. This will help your coach prepare.

Wet Weather

• If we get wet weather on our training days, we notify our Spond pages and social media.
• Regarding BWHA/game day, games will only be cancelled if there is flooding.
• If you haven’t heard from your manager or coach regarding game day, please arrive as normal for your game.

Uniforms

• All our uniforms can be purchased online: https://commercialhockeyclubuniforms.square.site/   
• Our playing strip is compulsory.
• U7/9 players will wear white, playing skirt, and purple socks.
• U10/12/14/JG will wear navy blue shirts with purple sleeves, skirt, and purple socks. 
• We also have supporter merchandise like vests and hats available.

New to Hockey in 2025 - Just Hockey Voucher

How to redeem

·       STEP 1. Receive your Just Hockey voucher at training

·       STEP 2. Visit the Just Hockey Brisbane store at 57 Victoria Street Windsor, Queensland 4030.

·       STEP 3. Present your Commercial Hockey Club voucher in-store by 30 April 2025 to receive your Mazon ST Junior Starter Set (inc. a Stick, Shin guards, Ball).

·       The voucher is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Limited to one voucher per first year player under 12 years. A Mazon ST Junior Starter Set includes 1x Stick, 1x set of shin guards, 1x Ball. Offer ends 30 April 2025.

KEY DATES

Registrations are now open for new and returning players. We welcome enquiries from new players, and we will do our best to accommodate you in one of our teams. Existing players are encouraged to register ASAP to support planning. 

• 20 March: Fee deposit due
• 15 July: Balance of fees due
• 31 August: Fee Payment Plan due

Turf Season 

Starts on the following dates for the respective divisions:

• Friday 14 March: JT1 (Gala Day)
• Friday 21 March: U14T1, JT2, and JT3
• Saturday 22 March: U14T2 and U12T

Turf Training

Held at Burringbar Park on the following days (exact timeslots tbc):

• Tuesdays 5 - 6 pm: U14T & U12T  
• Thursdays (times tbc): JT1, JT2 & JT3

Grass Training

Held at the Commercial Hockey Club at Finsbury Park on Thursday nights, with exact time-slots tbc.

Each Thursday from 13 Feb:

• U7 & U9 Training: 5-6pm, Finsbury Park
• U10 / U12 Training: 5-6pm, Finsbury Park 
• U14 / JG Training: 6-7pm, Finsbury Park
