2024 Junior Grass EOI

Welcome to season 2024. Firstly, before we launch in to the EOI forms, I must update you all on the outcome of the murmurings of changing age groups for the 2024 season. These changes are intended to align Brisbane Hockey with Hockey Queensland and Hockey Australia Representative programs.

You may have seen social media posts from BWHA that the proposed changes to age groups have been adopted for the forthcoming season which will affect the age group that you nominate for in the Expression of Interest Form.

Here are the age groups:

U7 2019-2019 (5-7)
U9 2015-2017 (7-9)
U10 2014-2016 (8-10)
U12 2012-2013 (11&12)
U14 2010-2011 (13&14)
JG 2006-2009 (15-18)

Now some things for you to complete please.

TASK 1:
Please complete the Expression Of Interest Form below to play Junior Grass for the 2024 Season. Based in these responses, you will then be included in all future communications regarding training and trials for the appropriate teams. This is NOT registration. We will ask you to complete those forms later. The club hasn't been able to finalise the fees as yet, awaiting information from BWHA before they do. TASK 2:
Please turn your SPOND app notifications back on as we are also starting communications via there as per last season. Once the teams have been finalised for 2024 we will recreate groups or move you into the appropriate group.

Commercial Women's Hockey Club invites our returning Junior Turf players and also any new players to register your interest for the upcoming 2024 season.

2024 Pre-season Junior Development

Registrations are now open for our 2024 pre-season training sessions in January for our existing Commercial Juniors and any new players to the club!

The 3 sessions are free, all we ask is that you register for each session through our website! Just to make sure we have enough equipment and coaches for everyone.

Sessions Information:

Brisbane North Hockey Centre – Burringbar Park

Tuesday 16th January 5pm – 7pm

Friday 19th January 5pm – 7pm

Tuesday 23rd January 5pm - 7pm

The sessions will be split over two 60-minute timeslots:

1st session - Girls & Boys 2024 U12/U14 age group

2nd session - Girls & Boys 2024 Junior Turf 15, 16, 17 & 18 age group

These are great sessions to get back into the rhythm of hockey and to prepare for our trials that will be commencing in late January/early February.

Players from all clubs are welcome and the sessions are free!

Junior GK Clinics

For all goal keepers looking to start the season off well, as part of our Pre-Season development sessions we will be running goalkeeper specific training with Matt Finn. Here are some of Matt’s representative teams.
